Dr. Jonathon S. Sasportas is a dual-degree oral and maxillofacial surgeon whose combined training in medicine and dentistry brings a broader clinical perspective to every case. He earned his BS from Union College, his DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, and his MD from New Jersey Medical School. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where he served as Chief Resident, along with additional training in general surgery. Today, Dr. Sasportas serves as Director of Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Director for Joint Commission Accreditation at Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of Central New Jersey, and as Department Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Penn Medicine Princeton Health.
Dr. Sasportas has been recognized for his academic and clinical achievements throughout his career, including the Fox Award for best all-around dental student and the Dental Anesthesiology Award for proficiency in Anesthesia. He is a contributing author to The Five Minute Clinical Consult for Dental Professionals and has presented widely on topics ranging from Cosmetic Maxillofacial Surgery to Bone Grafting and Trauma Reconstruction.
A diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Board of Dental Anesthesia, Dr. Sasportas holds advanced certifications in Anesthesia and life support, and maintains active medical and dental licenses in New York and New Jersey. His dedication to surgical excellence and patient-centered care continues to shape the experience of every patient he treats.
